TOOLSlug
AIRTABLE_UPDATE_MULTIPLE_RECORDS
Tool to update up to 10 records in an Airtable table with selective field modifications. Use when you need to modify multiple existing records or perform upsert operations. Updates are not performed atomically.
The ID of the Airtable base containing the table.
recordsrequired
ARRAY<OBJECT>List of records to be updated. Airtable's API limits updates to a maximum of 10 records per request. If you need to update more records, split them into multiple requests of 10 or fewer records each.
The unique record ID (format: 'recXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' - exactly 17 characters: 'rec' prefix + 14 alphanumeric characters). Required when performUpsert is not used.
Field name to value mapping. Keys are field names (case-sensitive) or field IDs. Values depend on field type: strings for text fields, numbers (int/float) for numeric fields, booleans for checkboxes, arrays of strings for multi-select/linked records, attachment objects for file fields, collaborator objects for user fields, or null to clear a field. Only specified fields are updated.
If true, Airtable attempts automatic data conversion from string values on a best-effort basis (e.g., '123' to 123).
Default: false
Configuration for upsert behavior when updating records.
fieldsToMergeOnrequired
ARRAY<STRING>Array of 1-3 field names or IDs to use for matching records. Allowed field types: number, text, long text, single select, multiple select, date. Cannot be computed fields.
tableIdOrNamerequired
STRINGThe ID or name of the table within the base where records will be updated.
returnFieldsByFieldId
BOOLEANIf true, returns field values keyed by field ID instead of field name. Useful for integrations resilient to field name changes.
Default: false
